5This Eye Witness made-in-Sheffield Barlow has become one of my favourite edc knives. It's a pleasure to look at and to handle. Very good quality fit and finish, no blade wobble, stiff folding action, and sharp strong blade. A very reasonable price for this level of quality -would buy again. Costs less than comparable Japanese/US/European made knives.Mark

5Coming in a fitted box the glistening Barlow pocket knife shows a spearpointed semi recurve blade with richly coloured grip scales. The bolster is struck with the ,"Taylors eye"logo of a winking eye also the ricasso of the blade similarly marked in the timeless fashion of sheffield makers .The blade requires some work with a stone to bring it ready also noticed on mine a sharp ridge on top edge of blade which calls for judicious use of the stone(a small diamondstick in my case) to prevent this egde rubbing the material of the garment or handbagHugh Mackay gunn

4Beautifully crafted, nice weight and a far better quality than the price suggests. A quick sharpen and oil rubbed into the handle and it is the business. Very pleased.Anonymous

5At first I was a bit hessitant to order this knife at £30, this was due to me seeing this knife with a more refined finish and better materials for around £150. However, this knife is made to the same standards - robust and what you would know as a 'solid sheffield made work knife'. It is certainly not using the same refined materials as the £150 version found on other websites, due to this model lacking horn handles and filework on the back spring - but for £30 the hardwood handles and the satin-type finish on the bolsters and blade gives it a handsome look - especially for the price. when I received the knife there was no blade play in any direction and the blade only needed a light run over a fine sharpening stone to get a ramarkably sharp edge. I also put a bit of linseed oil on the wood handles to protect the surface from prolonged use in the outdoors. All in all, with just about ten to twenty mins of work on a sharpening stone and oiling the wood, the knife instantly felt like it was worth twice the price. I am sure it will make a great knife for camping and outdoor work where a more expensive knife may get damaged.

5Great quality hard-working and sturdy knife with the added advantage of being made in Sheffield. Anonymous

5I've had this knife for, I think, two to three weeks and has had only light use in that time. This is a quality product. The overall fit and finish is excellent everything lines up beautifully. The blade is flat grind, clip point. very sharp straight out of the box and needs no additional sharpening. The slip joint snaps open and closed very cleanly. The opening will not break your nails. When open the blade is very solid and has no wobble in any direction that I can detect. The metal parts are brushed and the wood scales are not polished. Over all it looks and feels very solid and well made in the hand. Anyone looking to buy Barlow style knife would not be wasting their time giving this serious consideration.Michael

3This is a well constructed knife, that could have been so much better. Unfortunately, there is a ridge along the top of the blade, on the show side, where the grind hasn't been finished. It mars what could have been a very good knife.Mick
