This fantastic set of chess pieces by Berkeley Chess recreates the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Expertly made from a crushed marble resin these pieces have a substantial quality feel.
The set includes King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, Merlin, Sir Lancelot, an Anglo Saxon Castle and peasant soldiers. Bringing a magical theme to your game of chess this is a beautifully detailed set which is a joy to use.
In the heart of rural Somerset in the South West of England, Berkeley Chess apply traditional production techniques to painstakingly create beautiful replicas of original sculptures. Each piece is cast in a silicon mould and then hand polished to bring out the exquisite detail and then finished with a protective felt base. The skilled craftsmen at Berkeley Chess have produced two variants of these pieces, Victorian and Traditional, capturing the original detail and character.
