The story began in 1828, when founder Felix Courvoisier, the true embodiment of joie de vivre, established Maison Courvoisier in Jarnac, the heart of France’s Cognac region. Now a cognac house like no other. Built by four families and spanning three cultural cities, the history of Maison Courvoisier stands as a testament to the spirit of Jarnac and the bright lights and sophistication of Paris and London.
Cognac can only be produced from grapes in six legally recognised "crus" or areas in the Cognac region. Courvoisier mainly works with the finest four: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois.
The wine is double distilled and oak aged in custom made barrels for the elegant hint of vanilla and fuller body qualities that are instantly recognisable as Courvoisier.
