Celebrating Greek mythology, Manopoulos have created a beautiful set depicting the Gods that fought in legends.
Hand-crafted by skilled sculptors the pieces are coloured in bronze and blue with Poseidon taking the place of the King, and Athena as the Queen. Rivals in historic legends, the pair sit alongside a Hellenistic bishop, a knight from the Parthenon and the Stele of Aristion takes the place of the castle. Finishing the set is an armed warrior forming the line of pawns.
The weighted pieces have a felted base while the board itself has a deep blue and gold finish which beautifully displays the pieces.
This set will make a unique addition to any chess enthusiasts collection and is an elegant piece when not in use. Add an engraved message to a brass plate on the front.
