Manopoulos Olive Burl Inlaid Chessboard with Wooden Staunton Chessmen - Travel
Still proudly family-run and now led by the second generation, Georgia Manopoulou, Manopoulos carries forward a passion for beautiful games and the craftsmanship behind them. Traditional marquetry techniques bring character and artistry to its boards, with carefully considered materials and intricate detailing transforming each set into something to be enjoyed as much for its design as for the game itself.
That passion extends far beyond the workshop. Manopoulos has become closely affiliated with the international backgammon community, sponsoring the World Backgammon Championships in Greece in 2025 and London in 2026. It’s a relationship that reflects the brand’s enduring love of the game, bringing together generations of craftsmanship with the players who continue to shape its future.
