This beautifully crafted and highly versatile folding pocket knife is fast becoming a firm favourite in the Opinel range.
With a blade of 8.5cm (full length of 19.5cm, including handle), it’s a handy, purposeful knife suited for a range of tasks.
Fashioned from French walnut, the handle is as beautiful to look at as it is comfortable to hold. The wood contrasts exquisitely with the lustre of the Sandvik stainless steel blade, itself providing not just an excellent cutting edge but also offering superior corrosion resistance.
Each blade is stamped with the Crowned Hand, Joseph Opinel’s chosen maker’s mark, showing its authenticity. The knife also incorporates Opinel’s patented Virobloc System, dating back to 1955 and including the Virobloc safety ring, for ease of locking when in use and secure storage when not.
French knife manufacturers Opinel have been producing their classic wooden handle knives in the Savoie region since 1890. Originally known as their "working man's knife" they are now seen as the premier knives of France, with well known historic users including Pablo Picasso.
