The entire box and inlay (the playing board) is just cheap laminate. When I wrote my last review someone replied stating that the inlay was just laminated well it`s not the whole thing is. Both the photos and description are deceptive. Would not purchase again and if it had not been so close to Christmas Iwould have sent it back.

Dear Cath, the product description states that the board is walnut style wood with a printed board. We do have solid wood boards, and boards with marquetry inserts on the playing surface within our range, but due to the production costs on these they are more expensive. If you`d like to return the board for either an exchange or full refund we can arrange through our free returns service. Many thanks.

Our boards are manufactured in a traditional workshop hence the not so polished translation of instructions. We will talk to the manufacturer to resolve this for the future. In the meanwhile we do have some comprehensive gaming instructions which I hope will help - we will also make them easier to find on our website. I`m sorry you had to go searching for additional instructions but hope you are now enjoying playing the game.
